The Technical Office, part of the Technical Division, provides support for the design of equipment developed at INFN-LNL and collaborates with various internal and external research groups to develop innovative, state-of-the-art solutions for nuclear physics research. To this end, CAD design software and numerical analysis techniques (FEM-CFD) are used to investigate technical and functional aspects, bridging the gap between conceptual ideas and their practical implementation. This close link between concept and realization creates a strong relationship between the Technical Office and the LNL Mechanical Workshop. The two services operate in close synergy and are increasingly integrated into a single working group based on collaboration, cooperation, and teamwork. Design, manufacturing, prototype development, testing, and commissioning are the key activities that characterize this close collaboration. A management system has also been established to coordinate the processes defining the various stages of a project: from conceptual development to mechanical manufacturing, from activity planning to project progress monitoring, and from the coding of CAD documentation to the preparation of technical documents, which are systematically coded and rigorously archived. This project management system, integrated across the Technical Office and Mechanical Workshop services, is specifically applied to a research and development environment with the aim of effectively organizing and managing the various design and manufacturing activities.
