PISOLO  is a time-of-flight spectrometer for low-energy heavy ions, presently used at the XTU Tandem ALPI  accelerator complex. It is very well suited for experiments of few- and multi-nucleon transfer reactions at energies close to the Coulomb barrier.

Here below one can see a scheme of the various components and detectors

This is the electrostatic beam deflector used for detection of evaporation residues at 0o resulting from heavy-ion subbarrier fusion

The  plot shows the preliminary results of recent experiments aiming at measuring fusion-evaporation cross sections in the two reported systems, in an energy range from below to well above the Coulomb barrier. A hindrance of the fusion process in the more symmetric system shows up.
